Wisconsin Handyman License Requirements
Wisconsin requires state registration or licensing with no small-job dollar exemption.
SPS 305.31 (as quoted by DSPS): no person may obtain a building permit for a one- and two-family dwelling unless the person holds a Dwelling Contractor certification (or Dwelling Contractor Restricted) and meets the other listed conditions, except as provided under Wis. No dollar-value small-job exemption found.
What counts toward it: other: no dollar threshold found - the trigger is pulling a 1-2 family dwelling building permit, not job value
"no person may obtain a building permit for a one- and two-family dwelling unless the person complies with all of the following, except as provided under Wis. Stat. §§ 101.654(1)(b) and (c)(2)"
